To some people, finding a digital nomad job might seem impossible. It seems like a path that “only a few” could follow. The truth is, if you REALLY want to and are determined you can definitely find a remote job. For some people it can be surprisingly easy.

As technology has improved the list of professions that can be done remotely gets bigger year by year. Let’s take a look at 10 of the best Digital Nomad jobs that are out there!

1. COPYWRITER AND WRITER

Copywriting is when texts are written for the purpose of being used in marketing and advertising. Freelance copywriters communicate with their clients online and can work from anywhere as long as they have access to the internet. Copywriters can make a lucrative salary!

If you’re a gifted writer, you can take a few online courses and try it out when you refine your copywriting skill set. If writing ad copy is not for you, you can write books and publish them on Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing to make passive income.

2. SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

Big companies hire online marketing agencies to manage their social media or have their own social media managers. Smaller companies tend to hire freelance social media managers to handle their accounts.

As a Social Media Manager, you’ll take care of many things like designing a social media strategy, creating new posts and ideas, creating graphics while adhering to brand guidelines or outsourcing that to other freelancers that are illustrators, replying to comments to establish a positive relationship with followers, and analyzing the success of your past posts to determine whether or not they are resonating with your client’s followers. A great freelancing job to do is translation. If you know multiple languages and have impeccable grammar this is one job that you’ll be able to handle easily. A virtual assistant is someone that does various tasks for a company or another person. You’ll take over all the tasks that a personal assistant does but you’ll do it remotely.

8. UX DESIGNER/UX RESEARCHER

Nielsen Normal group defines User Experience as something that “encompasses all aspects of the end-user’s interaction with the company, its services, and its products.”

Products, websites, and mobile applications are all things that are continuously improved upon.

As a UX Designer, you may be developing the User Interface for a mobile application.

As a UX Researcher, you may be conducting Usability tests to ensure that a website is “user-friendly”.

Transcribing isn’t the most exciting job out there but it’s a start! It can be done remotely from the comfort of your home. So long as you know how to type quickly and have a good ear, you can make written copies of videos, audio material, etc.

10. ONLINE TECH SUPPORT

If you’re technically inclined and know the ins and outs of operating systems or products you can find a job doing online tech support. Your interpersonal skills and quick thinking will be necessary as this job deals with customers that may be upset. Your job is to fix their issues in a calm and confident manner while making them feel at ease.
